Ms. Laura C. Conley

Army National Guard Spouse

Term of Service: 2 Years — Beginning June 2016

Ms. Laura C. Conley is married to CSM Brunk W. Conley, the 10th Command Sergeant Major of the Army National Guard. She is an elementary school teacher of 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Western Oregon University.

Ms. Conley has been a military spouse for 32 years. She is also a military parent of five sons, including two who are members of the Oregon National Guard. She and her family have experienced four deployments including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraq and a recent return from Kuwait.

During these deployments, Ms. Conley became very active with the Oregon National Guard Family Programs. As co-chairman, she helped implement an organization that supports children of deployed soldiers through support activities and events. As a Host Committee member of the United Though Reading program, she helped unite military families facing physical separation through reading. She re-established a Senior ARNG NCO Spouses Group for all 50 states, three territories, and the District of Columbia.
